The Speech Pathologists Board of Queensland is the body responsible for the registration of Speech Pathologists in Queensland. Before a person in Queensland may practice as, or hold themselves out to be, a Speech Pathologist, he or she must first register with the Board.

The Board is the statutory authority established to enact the provisions of the Speech Pathologists Registration Act 2001, Speech Pathologists Registration Regulation 2001 and the Health Practitioners (Professional Standards) Act 1999.

Applications for registration are considered at Board meetings. To be considered at a meeting, a complete application (including all relevant supporting documentation) must be received at least 5 working days prior to the meeting.
